Welcome to the MEOD artist profile and organisation. All our ideas come from the natural world: trees equal umbrellas and that is exactly what we like to say. MEOD is the house tree, the umbrella for all our artists, So Talented, Beat’en Generation, Mr look so good, Digital Dropout and All this is yours are the fruits of our proud tree overflowing with beautiful music, beats and rhythms for your listening pleasure. The tree of life may have a thousand leaves, but all these leaves are from the same tree 

All at MEOD are striving to give you some of the best house, techno, tech house, break beat, hip hop and chill out London has to offer. We have mastered all our tracks for release the old skool way with analogue and valves to give you extra warmth, feelings , fatness and most of all enjoyment to all our music. We pride ourselves on taking the extra effort in our productions, artwork, website and sound on of every release we put out for your appreciation …”made with love in London” is our moto and is embedded on all our release’s.” In our hearts not the charts” is another

You will also see the name M.E.O.D popping up on various productions , throughout the site …he is also a great producer in his own right with some serious releases coming out soon on our rota for mid 2024.He also produces some great chill out , trip hop , smoking music with his ” beautiful , beautiful” track on our website and for download on our usual channels. He is also the label manager so if you have any questions please ref meod (that’s his name) and I,m sure he can help you with most things….

We are a faceless, underground society that exists and are living among all of you … we are neither people nor animals, but something in between. Kind of like Daft Punk or the Gorillaz’s or even our old mate Banksy…. we hope our music will do the talking as they say…

Exciting times ahead for meodmusic and we are looking forward to our launch early 2024. I hope you can all come along on our music journey with us and without you and your support we wouldn’t exist and would be nothing.

Mr. Look So Good

You can never be overdressed or overeducated “Oscar Wilde once said well this fine-looking man fits into that category effortlessly. ‘You don’t find style. A style finds you “Keith Richards once said and this handsome man exiles in both his looks and his music. His music roots go way back, back into time (he’s no spring chicken) by the way and hope he doesn’t mind me saying that but age in my book equals knowledge and he certainly has it in abundance when it comes to music and his beloved “House “. His roots go back to the caveman days :o), disco, R&B, rare groove, northern soul, reggae, lovers rock, soul, jazz and funk. He loves a good vocal and funky work out and is always happily singing but not how you would imagine, very left field and off kilter but we down at the M.E.O.D headquarters love him for that, he’s part of the family….
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication they say, and this chap has the lot.
People always ask me what the latest fashion music’s styles are? I always reply “House “as it’s just so timeless and pure but I’m not a believer in trends. Individuality is more important to the M.E.O.D philosophy and far more important to us to stand out and have the confidence to do something different.

It’s difficult to figure out who leads but music and fashion are connected genetically.

So Talented

Warning Warning – we call him the pocket rocket, “the baby of the bunch” but this kid is no baby I can assure you. Hailing out of west London weighing in at just over 60 kilos with blue eyes and that trendy floppy hair cut which all the young boys are donning these days, he stands alone ready to conquer this ever-changing house world. His gloves are on and his ready for the bout :o)

Round 1,

His knowledge of music for someone so young is phenomenal and he knows no bounds. Coming originally from the 2 step & old skool garage scene then dabbled with some urban beats, played with funky house, a touch of break beats, throw in some hip hop then progressed to the house scene where he now resides with that cheeky smile of his, and his infectious catchy music. The boy So Talented will be our first release on M.E.O.D due out on the 1st of March entitled “I’m a new Kid “followed by his 1st album mixed and un -mixed format with the same name and a tasty little video to wrap it all up in. The video and track with be on our social media sites and available to download on all our relevant platforms. The track has an old skool hip house feel to it and is sure to tear up and damage all good dance floors.

 

So, keep your eyes and ears out for this boy in a town near you, and give him a smile and a wave if you see him and blow him a kiss.

Beat’en Generation

 

Climate change – Health care – Food Insecurity – Violence – Homelessness – Sustainability – Education – Food and Water – Political Polarisation – Wealth inequality – Police brutality – Drugs and Alcohol – Religious conflicts and war

These are some of the real-world problems we all face today. Challenges and problems are important parts of life that give you experiences; make you learn and help you become wiser and stronger.

The beat’en Generation are a group of people whose love for music knows no bounds. Scattered across London the meet to face life issues and problems with the power of music. They’re an eclectic bunch of nomads who have given up watching TV and using social media and have used the spare time in the studio productively to make beats and rhymes and make people take notice of problems we face in the real world today. We’re proud at M.E.O.D to release they’re first piece of music a poignant tale facing Black people in America and the world today as many people of color old and young have become victims of negativity and unproductiveness because they are neither schooling nor engaging in economic activities.

I know racial identity is very personal, so I hope I’ve worded this correctly. There is a common saying “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop “This is the reality behind many people getting into the streets today, and involving themselves in robbery, drug/substance abuse, violence and crime and is one of the biggest problems facing a person of colour in the world today. Bob Marley once said “None but ourselves can free our minds “ 

“No Future “their first release will be available around the start of 2024 with a mix of hip hop, old Skool flava’s, great meaningful vocals, deep bass & funky acid lines. It will be available to buy and download with all proceeds going to charity which we have chosen the Salvation Army a Christian Church organisation who have been established in the UK since 1865 that help, feed and house the poor and meet human needs without discrimination. This track will also include a video which will be on our social media channels to watch and digest.

Digital Dropout

These boys and girls have been knocking about for a little while not saying there old but mature would be a polite way to put it. They have Northern roots and a Manchester swagger in them and moved down to London in the late 1990’s, they’re heads buzzing from classic music from the Cure, Smiths, Oasis and all-round good guy and Manchester legend Ian Brown and the Stone Roses.

Music is Healing, Music holds things together Prince once said and how true that is ….and I was lucky enough to see the man play many years ago before his sad death in 2016, he was only 57 years old. Digital Dropout have music running through they’re veins and understand and embrace most music genres. When we all stop and turn on our little Roberts radio in the office, religiously for the iconic Ken Bruce’s – Pop Master quiz i often loose and i mainly get to buy the coffee, sausages rolls and donuts for all :o). And I know allot about music I can assure you

We have a album coming out from Digital Dropout before the summer and various tracks from it, and also featured on So Talents I’m a new Kid album and a couple of other tricks up our sleeve. The album is great and very diverse with all sorts of stuff on it, house, breakbeat, techno, it also has a bit pop in places and has a proper trance fill to it to really spin you out and reach for the lasers … Most tracks on the album are vocal tracks all from the same people which I won’t mention now as I need to speak to them before and ask if there happy with the mixes & its ok to release them lol. Why’s that you might be wondering as Digital Dropout wanted to try and make a full vocal album but didn’t have singers , vocal set up or even a mic but wanted to see if they could do it  and basically set themselves a challenge …So they went on to a well know free sample site and the people which I’m still to mention had about 30 / 40 tracks on their far more than anyone else and good material for them to use , so they did and made about 12 tracks from them for the album.. lol that’s the story on how the album was made. We are really looking forward to seeing the artists reactions when we speak to them and tell them our storey, 

Thanks very much for letting us use your vocals, it’s been mastered & the albums done and all the artwork, and is ready for release? Hope you like it :o) …. And I hope they do as much as we do. Music is a moral law you know ….

I will update the site when it comes nearer the time with their reactions and the name of the album as we haven’t decided yet ….and info and credits which the unnamed artist I’m sure would like and maybe some pictures of them.
